The nomination committee is responsible for recruiting potential candidates interested in PTA leadership roles. They examine skills, characteristics and identify the most suitable candidate for each elected office.

Inclusion is actions, behaviors and social norms that ensure all people feel they are safe, welcomed and that they belong. One way we can achieve this is by ensuring that our leadership style promotes providing all members a voice. Share information from meetings with ALL members and communicate decisions made and ask for input. Seeking to meet individuals and communities where they are is inclusive! Being inclusive means ALL members have the opportunity to vote!

2025 Slated Board Member Candidates (2025-2027 Term)

• VP for Programs - VACANT
• VP for Advocacy and Legislation - Mike Ward
• VP for Membership (filling 1-year remaining of a 2-year term) - Kayla Beaumont

The SCPTA Bylaws allow individuals to self-nominate for these positions (run from the floor). To do so, you must send your intent in writing (via email) to both the SCPTA President and the Nominating Committee Chair by 3/15. Voting will only be available beginning 4/1 for those who have purchased a PTA/PTSA membership for the 2024/2025 school year.
