SCPTA 2024-25 Membership Challenge
Ready, Set…Grow: Your Membership Matters is South Carolina PTA's 2024-25 Membership Theme! We challenge all PTA/PTSA units across South Carolina to join to help us reach, even exceed our goal of 31,611 members!
Come grow with us! We challenge you:
- Set your 2024-25 membership goal higher than your actual members from 2023-24 school year.
- Share how you will implement the "Ready, Set...Grow: Your Membership Matters" theme with your school.
- Share your online membership join link and help us grow your membership! We will add this link to National PTA's website!
- Bonus! Early Bird Membership: Certify your PTA has entered and remitted dues for 100% membership of last year’s membership by 9/30.
Due by 9/30, Units MUST be in “Good Standing”.
September Membership Challenge
September Bonus: One Voice for Every Child. We want to award every unit who inputs and remits dues to SCPTA for as many members as there are full-time enrolled students on the 10th day of school. This recognizes that every child in the school community has a paid PTA member to be their voice. Due by 9/30, Units MUST be in “Good Standing”.

It Takes a Village–School & District Staff: Teachers, school staff, and district staff are all crucial members to each child’s success! Remit dues for School and District staff that represent at least 75% of your total number of school employees.
Bonus Gold Apple Award Challenge: Go the extra mile and verify you have 100% faculty membership! Faculty is defined as full-time, certified staff.
Due by 10/31st, Units MUST be in “Good Standing”.

Let’s Give Thanks! We are thankful for ALL our members. As we grow together, we would love to hear your membership success stories! Share how you have reached beyond your typical school campus reach: neighbors, friends or local businesses. Don’t forget photos! PTA units will be recognized across our South Carolina PTA social media pages. Due by 11/15,
PTA Honor Roll PTA/PTSA Unit Challenge: Members get the most out of their membership with your PTA the earlier into the year they join! For this challenge, your PTA will need to have remitted dues for a total number of members equal to your end of year number last year Due by 11/30, Units MUST be in “Good Standing”.

Better Together: December can be a busy month! Remit dues for 10 or more new members in the month of December. Due by 12/31,
Plant a Seed Challenge: Make a donation to our Historic House Preservation Fund and/or the Helen Stokes Scholarship Fund! Donate. Bonus Challenge: Make a donation to BOTH funds for double the impact! This form is due by 1/31,
Founders Day Challenge: Did you know that PTA was founded on February 17th in 1919? Help South Carolina PTA GROW by 1,919 members on this day as we continue to celebrate the history and accomplishments of PTA! Due by 2/28,
March Madness: Grow your unit by 12 or more members between March 1 and March 31st. Due by 3/31
March Bonus Challenge: Palmetto Membership Growth Awards: Celebrate your success in growing your PTA with the Palmetto Membership Growth Awards! No entry form is required for this challenge! Units will be recognized across our South Carolina PTA social media platforms.
- Bronze Palmetto: 1-33% Membership Growth from previous school year
- Silver Palmetto: 34-66% Membership Growth from previous school year
- Gold Palmetto: 67-100% Membership Growth from previous school year

Below are membership template forms that your unit may adapt and use for providing membership information to your staff and community. Some of these templates provide a variety of options to edit. A PDF has fillable form fields that may be customized to your PTA name and information. MS Word and Google Doc versions are also available (You must have MS Word in order to open and edit MS Word documents and you must have a Google account to copy a Google doc version.)
